Playing Experience: Joe grew up in the Chicagoland Area playing volleyball from his early high school years. As a graduate of Barrington High School, Joe also played club volleyball for Sports Performance and Rolling Thunder volleyball clubs. after High School, Joe played at Graceland University for his freshman season. Joe rounded out his collegiate playing career competing at Ohio State and Northern Illinois University on the club teams.
Coaching Experience: Joe began his coaching career at the club and high school levels while in college. During that time he helped Lake Park boys teams to back to back top 4 finishes in the state playoffs. While coaching girls club volleyball, Joe’s teams finished with back-to-back runner up finishes at AAU National Championships. Joe began his college coaching career at Elmhurst College, helping the Bluejays to a 2nd round NCAA tournament run. Following, Joe took a position at Northern Illinois University, and spent 8 years on staff. His time at NIU included 2 regular season MAC championships, 1 MAC Tournament Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Most recently Joe spend one season coaching at the University of North Dakota. During his college coaching career, Joe has coached multiple All-Conference, All-American, and professional athletes who are currently competing in some of the top leagues all over the world.
NATIONAL PROGRAM
The National Program is designed for players that wish to train and compete nationally at the highest level in club and aspire to play in college. Our practices, competition schedule, overall training philosophies, and player expectations of this program revolve around these goals. The girls national program teams will compete in regional and national tournaments, playing against top-level competition while increasing their college exposure.
Season Length:
December 1, 2025 - June, 2026 (AAU National Championships)
Breaks: Christmas, Spring Break, Memorial Day
Tryouts:
Summer Tryouts: July 12, 13, 16, 23
Fall Tryouts: Coming Soon
Practice:
3x per week
Team Practice, Position Training, Strength Training
Location: Hanover Park Park District (1919 Walnut Ave), Schaumburg Sports Center (1141 W. Irving Park Rd), and/or Streamwood Park Place Family Recreation Center (550 S. Park Blvd)
Practice days & times TBA
Tournaments:
Windy City Power League
High School National Level teams will attend 3-4 overnight events, which require an additional “travel dues” fee.
Strength and Conditioning:
All National Level athletes will participate in a strength & conditioning program 2x a week.
Price:
Season Dues TBA + Uniform Package + Travel Dues + AAU Membership + USAV Membership
Uniforms: around $400
Travel Dues: Travel Dues are an additional payment required for all overnight events (Louisville, Wisconsin Dells, AAU National Championships, etc). Fees include the teams tournament entries, coaches payment, per diem, travel, & hotel.
AAU Membership: $14/year for insurance
USAV Membership $50/year

PREMIER PROGRAM
The Premier Program is designed for players whose goal is to compete on their middle school or high school teams, or wish to join an advanced team when they get older. The Premier Program’s schedule is optimal for multi-sport athletes or those who have additional commitments that conflict with the National Program. Premier teams compete in all local tournaments in the Chicago Volley League (CVL).
Season Length:
December 1, 2025 - March 15, 2026
Tryouts:
Summer Tryouts: July 12, 13, 16, 23
Fall Tryouts: Coming Soon
Practice:
2x per week
Location: Hanover Park Park District (1919 Walnut Ave), Schaumburg Sports Center (1141 W. Irving Park Rd), and/or Streamwood Park Place Family Recreation Center (550 S. Park Blvd)

Tournaments:
All Premier Level teams play in the Chicago Volley League (CVL). The CVL is an 8 day (4 weekends) league for local teams. Tournaments start in January.

Playing Experience: Coach Wiltsie attended Burlington Central High School, where she was a 4x Varsity athlete, 4 year letter winner for high academics, and earned numerous MVPs and all-tournament awards.
After high school, Lauren attended North Park University (Chicago). She finished her career as a four-time all-conference selection and ranks 2nd in the record book with 1,419 kills. Lauren was inducted into North Park University’s Hall of Fame in 2023.
Coaching Experience: Lauren began her coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Elmhurst University, where she earned her MBA and coached the volleyball team. In her final season at Elmhurst, the team capped off their Division III, top-25 AVCA ranking with a third place finish in the AVCA tournament. Following her graduation at Elmhurst, she accepted a position as Assistant Coach at Colby College (Maine).
Coach Wiltsie joined Pipeline Volleyball Club in 2021, where she is a head coach, lead trainer, and Pipeline’s Youth Director.
